Our Team
The Wills Company team is client focused.
- Our seasoned, in-house team includes 19 professionals with expertise in design, construction or home repair – most with more than 15 years of experience in their respective fields.
- An adjunct to our team is a group of licensed contractors who perform specialized services according to stringent standards set by the Wills Company. These individuals and subcontractors are part of our team, having worked with us for years.
- All of our employees participate in the State of Tennessee’s Drug-Free Workplace Program, which includes drug screening. In addition, we conduct a thorough background check on all team members. To ensure the safety of your home, and to protect both you and our employees, we also carry workers’ compensation and liability insurance for all our employees and subcontractors.

Wendell is a native Nashvillian with over 15 years experience in the construction industry. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Organizational Development. Wendell has been instrumental in formulating policies, procedures, and training that allow the company to hire and keep the best craftspeople in the renovation business. Wendell and his wife, Elizabeth, have two boys. They spend as much time as possible in the outdoors.

Alex joined The Wills Company in 2010 and brings five years of experience in the Accounting field. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Tennessee Tech University and is a CPA, CCIFP, a member of CFMA, and an AICPA Certified Information Technology Professional. Say that five times fast! Alex and his wife, Rachel, enjoy gardening and farming in their spare time.

Aris joined The Wills Company in April, 2010 to spearhead the company’s Marketing efforts. She moved to Nashville 2 years ago from her hometown, Cincinnati, Ohio and is thrilled to have Nashville as her second home! She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Miami University in Ohio and enjoys jogging, reading, discovering new music, and talking on the phone with her mother in her free time.

Ridley is a native Nashvillian and graduated from the University of Virginia School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Architectural History. He began his career renovating houses for re-sale before founding the company in 1991. Since then, he has been perfecting the Design/Build process and building an award-winning reputation for his expertise in residential renovations. Ridley is an active member of the Nashville community. Currently, he is serving on numerous boards including Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity, Belle Meade Plantation, and the Shaker Museum of South Union, Kentucky. He is also involved with Leadership Nashville. Ridley and his wife, Betsy, have two children, Meade and Ridley, two dogs, Duke and Poncho, a bird named Bill...or Bob? (Ridley's never sure), and several unamed goldfish.

Tom joined The Wills Company in 2007 and has over 20 years experience in the construction industry with specialties and certifications in: IRC Building, Plumbing Inspection and Installation, Master Window Installer ,Erosion Control Specialist and Sediment Control Specialist. He was born in Hillsboro, TX and graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics. He is married to Linda, and in his spare time enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.

Brian joined The Wills Company in 1999 as a renovation carpenter, before being promoted to Project Manager. He brings 11 years of experience as a carpenter to the company and a whole lot of unfiltered enthusiasm. Brian's deep commitment to the company and our clients is motivating and completely contagious. He and his wife, Debi, have four children. In his spare time, Brian enjoys fishing and playing with his "grandbabies".

Matt and his wife, Denise, have three children - ages 10, 8 and 6. While the family keeps Matt busy, he also enjoys working on his vintage home in Inglewood where he has lived since 1997. He and Denise are both originally from Tullahoma. After graduating from Vanderbilt in 1991, Matt worked for a Florida-based, paving company. Three years later, he moved back to Nashville and began working as a project manager and estimator in the commercial/industrial construction industry. Matt joined The Wills Company in 2009.

Dave joined The Wills Company in 1999 as a carpenter before being promoted to a Renovation Project Manager. Promoted again in 2004, Dave took on new responsibilities as an Account Manager for Wills Handyman. Originally from St. Louis, Dave holds a degree in Earth Science and has worked as an environmental technician. Dave enjoys the great outdoors in middle Tennessee including rock climbing and fly-fishing.

Eric joined The Wills Company in 2009. He has worked in construction sales since graduating from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, in 2004. His most recent experience was in developing and selling estimating/project management software. Eric is originally from Nashville, having graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy in 2000. He is married to Ashley, and they both enjoy coaching youth athletics in their spare time. Eric coaches basketball, football and baseball, as well as participating in a variety of sports on his own.

Tony started his career with The Wills Company in 1999 as a carpenter. He was quickly promoted to Project Manager, then estimator, and Tony now serves as Production Coordinator for Wills Handyman. He has 14 years of experience in his field. Tony enjoys sports such as golf, climbing, and volleyball.

Fred brings more than 12 years of experience to The Wills Company. Beginning his career with the company in 1993 as a renovation carpenter and later as Project Manager, Fred’s work has resulted in countless successful projects and satisfied clients. Fred and his wife, Denise, have four children. Fred also enjoys fishing and attending auctions.

Travis joined The Wills Company in 2004 and brings over 9 years of expertise in carpentry to the job. Travis is a Nashville native. He and his wife Tiffany have one son. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Ken joined the Wills Company in 2006 as a renovation carpenter. Originally from San Francisco, Ken and his wife Beth have lived in Tennessee for over 12 years. Ken has 17 years of carpentry experience. He served in the United States Air Force and was a law enforcement officer for six years. Ken and Beth have a boxer named Roxy; and when they are not busy, they enjoy church activities and sports.

Mike joined The Wills Company in 2001 and has 18 years of carpentry experience. Mike is a huge asset to the team, not only for his superb handyman skills, but also for his unique problem solving abilities. He and his fiance, Misty, have three children and Mike enjoys spending time with his family in his free time.
